Key Westers have a great new place to meet, eat and drink. On May 20th, 2015 Keyviche opened its doors at 425 Caroline Street, in the former Braza Lena location. Keyviche’s owners have been purveyors of great food in the keys since 1976. “They wanted to create something new and their favorite food is ceviche,” said Daniel Balbi, the General Manager. Keyviche has 200 seats with a clean, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The décor is eclectic, fresh shabby-chic, all comfortably air-conditioned indoors, but open and unconfined. Hailing from the South of France and a classically trained Parisian chef, Daniel Balbi opened Key West’s Gloria’s Garden in 1982. He has been fine tuning local restaurants ever since. “Fresh is how you’d describe Keyviche, fresh seafood, fresh lime, fresh herbs,” Daniel describes with obvious passion, he adds, “Everything is made to order. ”
